I know, kale is not the first thing you think of when you think of a nice drink. But in this green smoothie it plays a main role and it tastes really delicious! It also provides many important nutrients such as vitamin A, C, K, calcium, potassium, folate, magnesium, iron, valuable secondary plant compounds, fiber, etc. And since the kale is used raw, it contains the full power!
Unfortunately, kale here in Germany is only available in winter, so you have to take frozen kale the rest of the year.
So don’t be shy and give it a try, because in my opinion this is the best green smoothie, I’ve ever had!!
Here are the ingredients:
- 2 handfuls of kale (frozen: 8 nuggets)
- 1/2 pineapple
- 1 banana
- 1 date
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of chia
- water
preparation:
- Put all ingredients in the blender and then cover up to half with water.
- Then blend until a uniform mass is created and pour some more water in if you don’t like your smoothie thick.
