Here is the current list of food (fruit, vegetables and salad) that is in season in November (in Germany). It’s getting shorter, but try to work with this selection and maybe try something new this month! Cabbage, squash and tubers are our best friends this month. They taste best when in season and local and are friendly to your budget, health and environment.
Here comes the list for November, which is much shorter than that from October:
VEGETABLES & SALADS:
- butter beet
- mushrooms
- chicory
- endive
- fennel
- lamb’s lettuce
- kale
- carrots (stored, locally grown)

FRUIT:

Enjoy the seasonal feast!
Cheers, Steffi
PS: To have more choice in fruits, I also add frozen foods, such as berries, now and then.
